On recent Israeli market surveys on semiconductors for 2008 + 1st half of 2009 the news aren't so great, Israel has followed the rest of the world and semiconductors sales plunged by 30-35% .
The market size in 2008 is $735Mil the first half of 2009 the market has continued its slow performance and signs of recovery/stability are showing for the 2nd half of 2009.
It's hard to guess the future of the Indusry, one thing for sure is clear :
while the number of vendors has always continued to grow in Israel since the hype of the 1999-2000 , The local clients and procurement agents has kept decreasing and major OEM's have constantly reduced their production and outsourced their purchasing .
The current local market size is far too small to the large number of sellers,
It's one of the best buyers market in the world ...
